We treasure our children and youth and strive to nurture them in matters of both life and faith.

Early Childhood & Elementary School Students
PrayGround We love to give our younger children a special place in our church family and Sunday worship, so we literally put them first with our PrayGround, a space at the front of the sanctuary designed for children to be active participants in every worship service. This space features quiet activities for kids during worship, and our youth director is present to guide them through the rhythms of worship in ways they can see and understand. Kids are invited to sing and pray with the whole congregation. There are children's lessons to help them connect to the Bible stories that shape our faith, and playing is always an option! All children are welcome, and parents can feel free to stay with their children at the PrayGround or sit in a nearby pew. We hope that the PrayGround is an engaging place for children to be present in the worshiping community and is of service to parents who want to direct their focus towards participating more fully on Sunday mornings.
Family Night Families with kids ages 0 through 5th grade are invited to come together once every month for a social activity put on by St. Paul but often held out in the community rather than in the church building. Family Night is open to all families, regardless of membership at St. Paul! Past Family Nights included: gingerbread house building, a trip to Currents, pizza and play at Bonner Park, an Easter Egg Hunt, and many others. We hope you'll join us for our next Family Night! Stayed tuned to Upcoming Events for dates.
GROW (Growing Relationships on Wednesdays) is open to all kids in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. We meet in the upstairs Fellowship Room, #210 in the Education (SW) wing, each Wednesday evening during the school year (starting September 7, 2022), from 5:30 - 6:45 pm. We gather to share a meal before forming two groups, K - 2nd grade in one group and 3rd - 5th grade in another, for activities, crafts, and games that center around the Bible story for the week. This is a fun-loving ministry that takes the place of a traditional "Sunday School" to teach children the stories and ideas that form our Christian identity. Contact Colter, Youth Director, for more information or to volunteer to support this lively ministry!
Middle Schoolers
Middle School Youth Group is for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and their friends. We meet during the school year on the second Sunday of the month from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the Youth Room on the third floor of the education wing. On the fourth Sunday of the month, we do an off-site activity, such as having fun at Missoula’s HUB or volunteering at the Missoula Food Bank or playing alien tag! Stay tuned to our upcoming events for dates or download our church app (for Apple or Android) for the most up-to-date youth events listing!
Confirmation Classes are held for (but not limited to) students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Our Confirmation courses prepare our young people to live Christian lives and lead up to the presentation of their Affirmation of Baptism. Confirmation classes are led by Pastor Chris and our Youth Director, Colter, and begin in October and end in May. Classes typically meet every 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month here at church from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. There is a time of instruction and discussion as well as a time to share a meal. Parents are asked to help provide the meals throughout the year.
High Schoolers
High School Youth Group meets once a month during the school year on the second Sunday of the month from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. We focus our time together on building relationships and exploring how faith fits in our current cultural context. This is a safe space for you to bring yourself, exactly as you are, to engaging discussions, fun activities, and times of services to the community!
Youth Pack
Youth Pack is a collaboration between several Missoula-area congregations that aims to bring youth in the community together for activities, service, and building relationships. There are middle and high school events held throughout the year, so check out the upcoming events for dates or our church app (download the app for Apple or Android) for dates!
Opportunities for All Ages
The Children, Youth, and Family Program hosts two major fundraisers each year which help to support all the youth ministries and programs we have going on throughout the year. Our fancy Dinner Out Tonight event in February as well as our Easter Brunch in March/April require help from students of ALL ages. We have servers, hosts, bussers, server assistants, dishwashers, set-up and clean-up help as well as planning and kitchen help. The students do a wonderful job year after year with these responsibilities and their efforts don’t go unnoticed. Be watching for ways to sign up and help with our fundraisers this year
One-On-One Mentoring
Let's face it: navigating life is just plain tricky, and sometimes you need an ally in your corner that's not your parents or your friends.
There are many questions about life and faith to explore, and we offer one-on-one support for middle and high schoolers who would benefit from mentoring.
Contact our Youth Director, Colter, if you feel like this might be a good fit for you or someone you know.
